Our vision and strategy is to target what we believe to be a fundamental cause of aging, the decreasing Mitochondrial Membrane Potential (ΔΨm) that occurs in cells as we age.  This phenomenon is conserved even in C. elegans nematodes.  Through this single target, our peptides drive dual mechanisms of rejuvenation in the body, elimination of senescent cells and enhancement of mitochondrial function in non-senescent cells.

We believe targeting senescent cells for elimination has the strongest Proof of Concept and the most favorable risk to benefit ratio of any other approach in the field of Geroscience and Longevity medicine.

However, there is also strong PoC data in the C. elegans literature that increasing ΔΨm directly also increases healthspan and lifespan.

Our approach gives us a unique opportunity to simultaneously intervene in the aging process via two validated pathways, potentially improving healthspan and increasing lifespan.
